Happy Halloween!

First of all, I hate dressing up.  I blame it on spending most of my years from 3-20 in dance costumes and band & cheerleading uniforms, but spending even 1 evening in an uncomfortable costume just for laughs is not desirable to me in the least bit.  In addition, Adam came up with a rather witty idea, at least I was entertained by it, for a costume for us.

As many of you know, we are both (Adam especially) involved in the world of Twitter so hence our hashtag.  A t-shirt with a 10 minute iron-on job was a comfortable costume and required very little effort.  Some from our Gospel Community who came to our Halloween costume party on Day of the Dead (Nov. 1) were less appreciative of the ingenuity and the comfort factor.

We did learn however, that 200 pieces of candy is far more than enough for our neighborhood.  Adam kept a tally and we only had about 36 trick-or-treaters.  I made Adam answer the door after 8:30 so I didn't have to scold the middle and high school students trick-or-treating far beyond the appropriate years (if there is such a thing!).
